Riot Games has sparked excitement in the VALORANT community with the latest revelation of the game's next agent, Iso.
Despite his many talents, the Chinese fixer-for-hire has one skill that sets him apart from the rest of his peers. Kill Contract, his ultimate ability, effectively forces one opponent player into a one-on-one arena for a combat to the death.
Kill Contract is the ultimate way to demonstrate your superiority over the other team by removing them from the safety of their squad and forcing them to meet you head-on in a true test of aiming skill. Whoever hits their shot first, without any interruptions from teammates or the usage of other skills, wins. There are, however, a few unique characteristics to the ultimate ability that both Iso players and his opponents must be aware of if they want to survive the interdimensional arena when he goes live on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Ultimate: Kill Contract

When Iso activates his ultimate, he walks around with an interdimensional arena in his hands, ready to fling it across the battlefield. When he finally casts it, a column of energy is sent through terrain and walls, similar to Fade's ultimate ability, Nightfall. It doesn't have the same range as Fade's ultimate, but it's close.
Iso drags the first adversary impacted by this wave of energy into the arena, where he will combat them one-on-one. The only thing inside the arena is Iso, the opposing player, and three unbreakable (but temporary) walls separating them. Iso is given two walls in front of him at the start of the one-on-one, while the opposing player is hidden behind a single wall. If the players do not want to peek out from behind the walls, the walls will vanish after a few seconds, allowing for a quick duel.
Iso has an advantage during the one-on-one duel because the enemy won't know which wall he is hiding behind, but this will be a duel based solely on aim. The ultimate ability has a 50-second duration, and if neither player dies during that time, both players will die when the ultimate expires.

How to use Iso's Ultimate in your advantage ?

Players can only use the weapons they had on hand during the arena phase of Iso's ultimate ability. For example, Iso could use this ultimate ability to easily defeat an opponent during a save round if he knows they have a weaker weapon than his own. Furthermore, Iso's Double Tap ability can carry over into the arena, which means that if he can activate it before launching his ultimate, he can block one shot from his opponent during the one-vs-one to gain a significant advantage.

If Iso kills his opponent, he can also take a charge of his Double Tap from his fallen foe before resurrecting to avoid being jumped by any enemies waiting for his return. No abilities can be cast in the arena, and if an agent is caught by Kill Contract while performing an ult—such as Raze's Showstopper, Neon's Overdrive, or Jett's Bladestorm—their ult will be canceled, and they will be forced to fight in the arena with whatever weapon they had available. Don't be concerned about an unfair fight if you're fighting with limited health. If you have low HP and are hit by Iso's ultimate, you and Iso will both respawn in the arena with full health and shields.

After the Ultimate expires

When Kill Contract is completed, the surviving player will reappear exactly where they were when the ultimate ability began. They will also respawn on the map with the same amount of health and shields that they had prior to the one-vs-one, whether they were unharmed or on one HP. This does mean, however, that even if Iso players win their one-on-one duel, an enemy may be waiting for them on the other side when they return. As a result, Iso players must communicate with teammates when using their ultimate so that they can keep an eye on their return point and avoid being ambushed.
